Actor Nelson Estevez, a New York City native, fuses natural talent with personal exploration. Whether on a stage, in film, or starring in commercials his knack for character development, through acting, is apparent. With a lust for breakthrough characters, his range transcends that of the chiseled frame and memorable face. His curiosity as an artist directly correlates to his growth, and risk-taking as an actor.
Acting professionally since 2005, Nelson’s work can be seen in a number of films, music videos, and commercials. After migrating to Los Angeles, Nelson did work on Will Smith’s Hitch, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and He’s On My Mind. His television resume boasts stints on ER, CSI: Miami, and Weeds. His music videos include well-known artists Fergie, Avril Lavigne, and Christina Aguilera. Nelson has also worked on a number of ESPN commercials in New York City.
Though working on a professional level, Nelson is very much a student of the craft. He’s adamant about training, both mentally and physically, in preparation for roles. With a background in fitness, conditioning is implemented in every area of his life. His studies have taken place on both coasts of the United States. His training includes sketch improvisational comedy (Upright Citizen’s Brigade), as well as the fundamentals of acting (T. Schreiber Studios).
Pulling from real life experiences, he sees himself as a messenger, evoking a new emotion with every character and every line.
